I’m a designer with 2 and a half years experience applying to jobs in any state I’m interested in but it seems no one wants anyone that has to relocate or they want people with more experience. I feel like it’s a catch 22, you need experience to get a job but how do you get a job without having enough experience?

Relatively new position at a coveted firm as their Marketing and BD manager. Have suffered burnout and depressive episodes previously: can feel the symptoms raising it’s head. Most importantly, struggling to tolerate how directors speak to me, whereas previously I wouldn’t take it personally and get on with it. I’m curious to see if anyone has seen or heard of people making the jump from mechanical design engineering to architectural design. How difficult of a jump/transition would it be?

Does anyone have any good (free) resources for construction detailing. I’m trying to move up in my career but struggling due to lack of mentorship//training (staff shortage, everyone is busy) I’m rarely taken on construction sites, and if I am It’s because I pushed for it.
