Hello, I’m starting my 1L in August. I have 2 years of experience in supply chain management dealing from data analysis to procurement and vendor relationships. I see my law career in working in that intersection between law/compliance, supply chain management, and technology. Does anyone out here work on such field? Does it even exist?

Does anyone have any insight into partners retiring early? I am at a point where I need to consider leaving if I am not aiming for partner. I don’t see myself working past my 40s. My partner and I are not big spenders and anticipate have enough to retire comfortably in 40s (obviously a lot can change). I have been assured I will become SM in next year (currently 31 years old).

What corporate practice has better longevity if your goal is to stay in big law for as long as possible: M&A or Capital Markets?

I wasn’t sure which bowl to solicit advice from so hoping to catch a bite here. I’m currently in ID. Of course, I want OUT! My interests are L&E and corporate. My options are 1) wait it out where I am in hopes to switch to L&E or 2) in house oil and gas industry transactional work. What would you do and why? I’m looking for an accountability buddy. My initial goal is to lose 20 pounds in two months. To do this, my plan is to eat healthier and in smaller portions (track my food intake), and workout at least 3x per week.

Really need an accountability partner for a few things below:
1. Wake up at 5:30
2. Exercise everyday for at least a half hour
3. Eat more home-made balanced & nutritious meals & less takeout
4. Lose 8lbs
5. Meditate or journal every day
