I’m a designer with over 10 years or experience at an agency and can’t tell where I stand work wise. Maybe it’s my midlife crisis lol. MAybe I’m aging to quick for my own good in this industry (43 here) but I’d appreciate if anyone would chime in on my work (which I can send via DM) My main reason for getting feedback is that I am having trouble getting job offers besides getting feedback that the work is excellent and sharp and all. (I do have a visa sponsorship hurdle) TIA!

Currently at IBM where they are looking to start my green card process. Got an offer from D, and they will do my green card after a year.

Current H1B is valid till September 2024. With regards to timeline, is there anything I should consider or should I stick to IBM and get it done now?

I recently found out that I was being paid less than everyone in the team (more than 25% gap to more expe teammates, around 15% less than new hires)
We all had the same responsibilities, I consider I even had a heavier workload (talking in past tense since I very recently made an internal move).
Things to consider:
On a work visa
Non-white
Non-male
What would you recommend doing?
Keeping it to myself?
Speaking up? How? With who?

Week 2 at new company that goes off Chinese custom. Most employees are Chinese citizens on visa. I noticed something odd about some of their employment agreements, they are paid 85% salary during probation of 6 months. If performance is good, they get the full 100% after month 6. I personally have never seen this, nor do I think this is legal in the US let alone WA/CA. Trying to get them up to compliance but this one has me stumped. My gut says this is illegal. All employees are engineers.

I am considering moving to Australia so I can get admitted there. I have been working as a legal assistant since January 2020 in Zimbabwe.Would I be able to get a job as a legal assistant or paralegal on a student visa- while working on my admission exams?
