Hi! Does anyone know what kind of knowledge is needed to crack the Data Scientist interview at Google?

I'm currently working in Marketing Analytics (primarily using SQL and a bit of pyspark). Apart from mastering SQL, I wanted to know from people working at Google what does it take to get there as a Data Scientist? (I'm very interested in Strategy Ops)

I plan to another 6-8 months in preparation and upskilling myself before I even apply.

I quit my previous job approximately 5-6 months ago due to toxic culture and being pressured to commit fraud… I fear hiring managers see that I’ve been out of work for this time and may assume I was fired or laid off. Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about a year and it was working…but I feel the depression coming back. I don’t want to just keep upping the dosage (went from 150 -> 200). I’m not too sure what to do and therapy is something I can’t afford right now with my recent rent increase. Any thoughts or advice?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

Is it crazy to want to leave biglaw right now as a senior (6-7th year) m&a associate to go in house given the current state of our economy? Don’t think I’m in any real danger of being laid off at my current firm but not so sure if I were to go in house.
