Just curious if all the cardiac sonographers starting out in the profession, what was your starting wage? After working so many year how much did your income increase? How much was your pay for being on call?

Currently I am one year out of school starting at around $26/HR with my on call pay being $2.75 an hour (we doing it weekly at my hospital) and we average around 100 hour of on call so it’s close to $300 per on call week.

I am currently serving my notice period at PwC AC. They had given out a retention bonus in march with the clause to return it in full if an employee leaves the firm any time before march 2023. Tax was deducted when the bonus was paid out but as per the HR the tax will not be adjusted when I pay back the entire amount. I see people in here don’t know how to give helpful advice at all. I’ve made the decision to just put my foot out of the door. I’ve voiced my concerns to the program manager. They were ignored. I think I’m willing to take a pay cut to get my life back. I work 100-125hrs a week I also work 7 days a week. The hours aren’t the issue. I’ve done it before it’s the fact that I miss having my weekend nights off. It’s a drain mentally . So here I begin a new job search .

Workload related to STEM- I took over a Middle School science position in January, as the former teacher retired mid-year. The workload is 6 STEM classes a week, which I was told I could float, 6 Earth Science classes for two groups of 6th graders, about 10-12 students each, and 12 Physical Science classes, 1/2 grade 7 and 1/2 grade 8, about 13-14 students in each of the 4 classes. No curriculum, ancient textbooks with no answer keys. Doesn’t this sound like a job for at least 1.5 FTEs?
