I’ve received offer letter from Bosch but the offered amount is way less than what I discussed and moved ahead for the interview process. I discussed the matter with HR and he said he would try. I haven’t heard from HR after that. What should I do?

Short Answer: You should wait
Detailed Answer: Actually lot of HRs over promise but you need to wait as the Business Head needs to approve the request. Keep following up regularly with HR and ask the max range that they can offer.
It has been a month and last week I checked with HR he said he will check for approvals and confirm me in a day, post that no response on emails
The market is also not good. Usually they try to backfill with someone asking lower CTC. If they find him/her then your offer will be revoked. Keep trying other companies and keep following with HR gently

I talked to hr today, they are not ready to offer me the amount we discussed instead said that they gonna offer joining bonus now
Some companies just don’t value the time of the candidates. They might come back to you but won’t agree to the amount you discussed for sure.. This had happened with me multiple times.. They don’t keep the commitments they make before starting the process and try to take advantage of candidate’s situation..
I would say, if you are not in a hurry to get a job then please keep looking for other job openings.. Please don’t agree to the less amount Bosch proposes..
If you are in np then you can try other interview and check if you can get more offer letter . Then join the company that gives highest hike.

If not, respond back to HR that as discussed this offer letter doesn't meet your financial expectations hence you will not accept it. And also mention you are looking for long term stint and don't want fi think over new options offering better compensation. Kindly review and resend updated offer
I did this, but hr said business head has approved as per internal parity and can’t go beyond.
From my experience, i can say that they will not come back with the offer. You should decide if you want to join on the same offer or not. At my time, I have called and mailed multiple times throughout the month and there was no reply.

In my case, the HR didn't even question my quoted amount even once, she just said ok and after filling the first steps application, no response for days 😐
It happened with me as well, I had to call the recruiter every week and offer letter came in a month.
