What is the Utilization target for US tax associate and seniors associates?

Am I understanding utilization rate correctly? It’s chargeable time over total time? Charged 40 hours and had 10 hours non-charge so my utilization is 80%? If so, wouldn’t it benefit me to understate non-charge hours so my utilization is higher since they only really care about chargeable time anyways? Charge 40 hours still but only put 5 hours non-charge for utilization to be 89% instead of 80%? Or am I misunderstanding how utilization works?

How do I check my actual utilization (not the effective one). Mybusiness only tells me the effective utilization

My RL didn’t have a formal mid year pre CRT review with me. He just pinged me and said: I’ll represent you. Utilization = 75% and average snapshots. Am I at risk?

Can you get fired for having low utilization as a senior? My billable hours this busy season have been much lower than my peers.

Do all firms share utilization reports for all staff with everyone? I feel like it’s awful for our company culture to share everyone’s stats office-wide. Just breeds anger and bad vibes all around.

Hired as SA1. if my utilization is low for round table but I’ve gotten good Snapshots will I go up to SA2 or SA1B, which I don’t want of course.

I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I'm 6 months old at D! Planning early promotion next year.. counselor and pm both are backing me.. I need to go to India for at least 4 weeks in Dec ... most probably would be rolling off from current project by then .. would this vacation hurt my promotion chances coz of utilization etc?

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. I’m always raising my hand and offering to help where I can and no matter what I do, I don’t feel utilized or valued or part of the team.It’s really taken a toll on my confidence

Question for those in "tech" cities. I am in Northern VA and view this area as a potential tech destination of the future as FAANG moves towards servicing the federal govt (see HQ2). Is there much of a premium in terms of pay for the accountants in the current tech cities? Is a career in FAANG as an accountant better than public accounting if you never expect to make partner? There already seems to be a severe shortage of talent here in NoVa so I'm wondering what to expect 3-5 years out.
