What is bench policy of mphasis?
Hi Guys...
I have a total of 5.5 years of experience with current CTC as 11.5 lpa.
I have a offer from Infosys of 17 lpa
But my company wants to retain me and they are giving me an opportunity for Canada onsite in return of retention(no raise or bonus)
Please suggest me, if i should take the onsite opportunity or keep looking for counter on my current offer.
I have 70 days of Notice Period left.

First American is a good company, but many people are not aware of this company. Getting 15LPA for 3 years of donet full stack is very good package at FAI. People with 7years of experience are getting same.
Pros:
1. Hikes are good here. Minimum you can get 10% or 1 Lakh in annual appraisal. Based on performace it can be 25% or 2 to 3 Lakhs. If the performance is good, you might get 2 hikes in a Year (October and April). Recently also they increased salary of all employees atleast 2 lakhs per annum due to market correction.
2. Many teams are migrated to cloud and working on mordenizing the UI and APIs (microservices). So plenty of learning opportunities. All the remaining teams will also migrate to cloud by 2022 December.
3. There conduct 3 technical events in a year. QFest (ralated testing/automation/finding bugs or vulnerabilities), CodeFest(solving business problem statements using tech), TechTalk(Technical idea presentation to solve any business problem or technical problem). These are so helpful for geeks.
4. Quarterly and Annual awards. For this, you have to be outstanding performer and also need to know how to sell you or show-case the work.
5. Many technically sound people are there to guide and mentor and there are some cool managers. You have to be lucky to join those teams.
6. Option to change team internally with promotion, when there is a requirement. But for this we have to be in a same team for sometime(I don't remember the exact duration).
Cons:
1. No brand value in India among friends and relatives.
2. Some good technical projects are going to onshore teams and some offshore teams are just working on support and maintenance work. This can be changed by using the 6th point in Pros.
I also worked in Wipro for 4 years (3LPA to 5LPA) before joining FAI (6 hikes in 3 years. 8LPA to 15.5LPA). Annual hikes are very less in service based companies. Don't join any service based companies (Wipro, Capgemini) when you have offer from good product based like First American, Eurofins, Seimens, EY.
One more con at FAI - Bigger basic component, so higher PF deduction. so monthly take home is less compared to service companies. Along with this the 10% variable will further reduce your monthly take home, but in March you will get more than 100% of that variable component (But tax will be deducted when you get it, so you should not expect full amount while your are getting it)

Stay away from Eurofins, very poor business outlook. Recently their MD was sent away. The roadmap is close to zero.
Siemens is good. Product based companies and healthcare domain always will have an edge.
The rest of it depends on your priorities.
