Hi guys, need a bit of advice here. Most part of my role consist of building BI dashboards for clients, and starting on a new project that includes data governance. I also have fundamental data science skills (mini academic projects). Company wants us to learn a new competency/tech this year as part of KPI, I was thinking of Alteryx or Microsoft azure but would like to hear opinions or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

AWS, Azure, or GCP. AWS has the largest market share but seeing continuous growth from Azure, especially as MS drives integration across all their products. GCP is the smallest and newest. The have been able to make some improvements over Azure and AWS due to their late entry but I wouldn't say they have a significant market share yet.

Hey Fishes, happy Sunday!

My sister had received an offer letter for the "Functional Consulting - Analyst" role on 7th September, 2021. Been over a year now but have not heard back anything.

Although when we were able to get in touch with an HR, we were assured that we would be receiving a call letter after a month/week but that was 4-6 months back... No correspondence since then.

Anyone in a similar situation? Is there a clear way to know when the call letter would be released?

Agency recruitment managers! How do y’all set goals for your department? Do you focus on outreach goals, applicant goals, purely hiring goals no matter the outreach numbers, conversion rates, etc? Asking because I manage two recruiters working with different clients and both work with different styles, so outreach messages for one might not make sense for the other. Any insight would be so helpful!

Clawback clause in current contract: been in role for over 2 yrs, it was an internal move that required relocation. Relocation was approved shortly after (over 2 yrs ago) but covid meant the actual move and start of my contract with new subsidiary was delayed, I was paid by the previous subsidiary meanwhile. I got small relocation package. Would internal move be subject to a buy-out/clawback clause if I leave now and if yes, is it time in role or time under new contract? Any experience? Thanks!

Where does the role of art director begin and end? New to agency life. Any advice?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
