Hi - I already work as an associate controller in an investment bank and am contemplating on starting the CFA journey. From your experience, how has this additional qualification helped you ?
To start off, do I need classes for level 1 (I am a qualified chartered accountant) and what study materials helped you ? How long is needed for level 1 prep ?

Is it a fail of character leaving biglaw? I want to leave, but despite the constant stress and suffering, I can’t avoid feeling like it’s my fault or that maybe I’m over exaggerating how I feel. All my colleagues feel ridiculously happy, I’m the grinch one that’s never enjoying the grind (but the grind is hard and competitive, very competitive) :( any thoughts? Is there future after quitting biglaw so young?

Are firms willing to negotiate the role with campus hires? I received an offer for a big 4 in risk, which I signed early in September, but just now received another offer in TAS from a different firm. While I much prefer the big 4 firm, I do not want to work in risk anymore. Would a big 4 be willing to change groups? Have you heard of anyone able to do this? I feel kind of bad, but I truly despise the idea of working in risk now. ( My friend who's in the role right now hates it)

Got an offer from Capgemini for 10LPA fixed and also I got an offer from HCL for 11LPA (includes variable pay but mentioned it will be paid monthly basis) , which one is good to join to develop my career growth. I got an offers from two companies in flat steel products for Pune location.
One company is startup company categories under dealer based on e-commerce
And one one big brand company but they have started new divisions for e-commerce flat form

Which one should i choose? ( work life balance/ stability/sustainability/growth)

Pay scale for both nearby but brand company is paying less than expected.

I got 2021 CFA level 1 materials from Kaplan last year. Am I okay using that to study if I plan on taking the test in February, or do I have to plan on buying new materials again?

Has anyone successfully deferred their exam for the august window? If I defer now can I sit the exam in November?

How early do you start studying for Level 3? And is it harder than level 2? I’m a little nervous since there’s a written part now.

My employer has a sponsorship program that the CFA qualifies for. They sponsor 100% but only after 6 months of full-time permanent employment; thus I will qualify in may 2023 (I just started). Should I wait for may for them to pay, or pay the initial costs myself to avoid delaying my career longer? I'm 26 & 1/4th and just graduated college. My new role and future career aspirations are finance / computer engineering hybrid. Current employer is in private banking.

My company reimburses CFA exam fees if I clear level the exam and if I stay in the firm for 2yrs from reimbursement date. I don’t wish to be here for 2yrs. . Can i still apply for CFA scholarship?

Rescheduled my Level 1 exam from December to February. I’m worried that changing the date will means I need to buy new study materials, but how much of the curriculum could actually change? It seems like it should be the same.
