Hi,
I’m a senior backend software developer with 6 years experience. I have extensive knowledge in SQL and API. I want to study and get AWS Developer Certification. Do I have to get AWS practitioner certification first? I know it’s not required to get AWS Developer, but some people told me to study foundation course first before I jump to other AWS certifications. Is this true? TIA

Hi! I support initiatives for cloud training. There are a couple of avenues to take and things to consider. If you have some basic knowledge of cloud computing, then I would say no, don't worry about cloud practitioner. Next, is the level of technical knowledge you feel you have on AWS services. If so, then you can jump into developing on AWS course. However it's worth starting with AWS Technical Essentials as a starting point to be sure. Some say it's beneficial to also check out Architecting on AWS. There are lots of content to review for recommended learning paths on AWS skill builder to learn more.

Udemy & Self-Paced Doumentation: very high level and the practice questions are too easy. I could answer most without following the material.

Also, there isn't a lot of overlap between the study materials.
