Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Ugh it really is such a tough job market right now. Are you getting any interviews at all? If nobody is contacting you, I'd focus on your resume and networking. If you're getting interviews but not landing the roles, it's something about how you're talking about your experience/the vibe you're putting off so I'd work on crafting a compelling narrative about how your experience fits the role and work on your interview skills more generally
I’ve been applying for last 5-6 months, had 3-4 interviews, no offers.

Companies don't really keep your CV in their database and reach out to you in the future. That's not really a thing.
Only apply for jobs you are qualified for and look into offering your services on a contract basis through platforms like Upwork, fiver, etc.
Do the open source, share openly. Choose one open source project, ideally related to AI (or something else, which is close to your dream job) and share your yourney openly. OSS makes you grow crazy fast. In some time you'll become a senior, with a cool list of contributions, commits, great business connections.
Honestly I'd shift to devops skillset if possible. Big demand for that. Regarding enhancing your QA skillset, Test automation experience is a must now a days so if you do not have that, take some programming training courses. Market is tough right now so working with a contract agency might be a good option to get in somewhere. My company (US based) has recently laid off a mass majority of QA and replaced with Contractors from South America.
Hi, with the integration of AI into all our lives systems such as Claude code are replacing junior and mid level roles. This is not just happening in South Africa but I am guessing everywhere. In the UK there are a lot less roles to apply for and hardly any Junior or mid-level roles.
