27 F. Work as 1st year associate in Big Law NYC. Base salary $215k, bonus is ~$10k (lowballing), student loans are $150k, total savings are about $100k. 0 family money and will likely be supporting parents long term. Mental Health, inherited or choice? I am finding myself struggling with processing that ADD, Depression, or Bipolar is a chemical imbalance in the brain vs. behavioral therapy. The best analogy given to me is you would treat diabetics with insulin so why not consider prescriptions to help mental health. 2020 has thrown more at me than I’m able to handle. Has anyone here noticed a significant improvement after a prescription to help psych issues?

I know I will get hated by saying this. Do you think gay pride events are portraying a bad image about our community to public? Applied to a job and was referred. My referral let me know ~5 days after I applied that they received an email that my application was passed to the hiring team. That was three weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from Google and my referral hasn’t heard anything. Job posting is still live. This is for a strategic initiatives role. Within norms this is moving slow? Should I expect to receive an email saying they passed?

Currently an associate at a V30 and negotiating a partnership position at another V30. What is the correct way to maximize the pay in the negotiation as a lateral partner? I'm a marketer and I'm having a hard time getting my clients to listen to me.

I have been in marketing for 10 years now. I've worked with hundreds of clients and have been able to increase their sales by over $1 million each year.

But every time I go into a meeting with a new client, they ignore everything I say. They just want to talk about their product. They don't seem interested in learning how to market it better.

Am I the only one left at the end of the month trying to bill 10hour days to meet hours because I slacked off at the beginning of the month? It’s a vicious cycle. Then the end of the month hits and I’m so exhausted that I need to take it was the next week... and the cycle continues

Normally all of our production insurance is covered by liners but for some reason this shoot clients are asking to see our production insurance policy, which we don’t have.
