Hiring manager recently told my colleague “you don’t choose a new role based on the team or client. Those change. you choose the agency.” I see their point but I disagree—my day to day happiness is more a product of my immediate team and client. I’m curious what others think about that.

I'm working in CITi project since 17 months, premapped ro project so, not a single I was in bench til now. In this January they retained me with 70% hike :).
YOE - 5.6 years
Skills Set :- Java, Springboot, Microservices, SQL.

What all benefits I can get from LTi in next 6 months or so ?
Like Promotion to P3 and OnSite ?

Has anyone used exit opportunities to get early promotions within consulting? For example if I’m 1 year away from promotion at D, could I apply for a role that’s a level up at another firm? Is this something that’s doable and happens often? How does one pull this off? Will you be forced to stay in that next level for longer at your new firm?

Looking at leaving audit, for a financial analyst and small Corp Dec roles for small corps.

A few of the roles ask for financial modelling, but I'm unsure if it is DCF (per my old finance classes) and need IB level type work or just quick and easy excel modelling for sensitivity/variances from different parameter changes.

Seems like a vague term.

Would love to get some insight on people who perform financial modelling in their work and had it in their position description.

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
