Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

Was in a similar situation, took me three months. First two only studied 5-10 hours a week, last month studied more like 20-30 hours a week and passed on first try. May have been dumb luck though 🤷🏻♂️
It’s a very difficult exam with no experience for many reasons. There is s Tim of material to cover. With experience in a couple domains allows you to study and ficus on the others. Because it’s interactive it’ll focus on weak spots as you ace your core areas. I’d say a good 4 months
Which boot camp do you suggest?
InfoSec Institute
We had a local vendor come to the office for a group rate, but ISC2 is a good place to find boot camps. As far as difficulty, I guess compared to other certification exams I’ve taken, like the PE, the CISSP was pretty easy
Literally one week. Take a boot camp and devote an entire week to studying—no client work or drinking. Do whatever your instructor tells you to do and you’ll pass
Thanks D1. C1, that’s good input. I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you
Agree with KPMG1, just take a boot camp and you’ll be ready. It ain’t that difficult
KPMG1, BA1...this makes no sense to me. I’ve seen coworker study for months before they took it and even then they are on the fence about passing. How are you able to do it in a week. Are you considering your experience in the field as well?
I was in the same boat as you, OP, and I passed after a weeklong boot camp
Even if you pass it you won’t obtain the title. The certificate requires experience. The folks staying a week boot camp gets them the certificate may have taken the new version. I can assure the older one was not the easy
I know people who took a boot camp and passed the exam before they switched to the CAT format
