Looking to leave my current role but scared of financial outlook, graduated August 2022 and have 2 YOE of formal experience in tech under my belt with startups and large companies. Currently making $70k base- is that realistic anywhere else other than startups/tech for a marketing or sales position?

I got a covid drive thru test in July and now the medical provider sent me a $700 bill for that and my Uhc insurance has rejected this. Had a really bad day 😞 I don’t know why I keep doing this to myself. Things will be going well and then out of nowhere I get blackout drunk. I am tired of feeling sick and anxious from drinking. I don’t really even want to drink sometimes but do it anyway. Blacked out last night, and still feel sick now. So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before?
