How are you dealing with managers? all managers in ACC are non technical as they are hired for people management , now these not technical manager are daily conducting some or the other meetings and proposing some or the other solutions of their own, which are technically not possible neither org supports on implementing them, also they are involved in every meeting and always threatening to put individuals into pip for not following their foolish ideas, any suggestions on how to avoid conflicts

no one is dealing the managers attitude, people have been micormanaged so they started searching outside, managers have become a gang and are implementing same across all projects, there wont be a change even if u go to HR, dnt take too much to heart, survive for the while and find a diff proj

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. Any thoughts on how do we deal with an incompetent boss who you dont look up to and have no trust that you would ever get credit for the work you would do for him/her? Given that changing the boss is not an option.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

I tried to hold firm as he attempted to 20 question me, who was it, who wants me, what division, how did they find out about me? And of course the gaslighting of “why didn’t you come to me I could have helped or made introductions”. Clearly everything is about him. How have you handled such situations? What could I have done better with my abusive manager?
