I have an Independent contractor (on H1B with an employer) who is someone I would like to bring onto my team once the freeze ends. He had been having issues with his employer - withholding pay and not providing paychecks for a few cycles. Is this even legal? Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

I've had 2 rounds of interviews at Google (UK) for a non-tech role in Platforms & Ecosystems (L4/L5). Recruiter told me that I've been selected for the final rounds (GCA + Leadership Interview). From his feedback, one thing they wanted me to improve on was the GCA Questions. Would anyone have any tips on how to prepare for these? I've checked some of Jeff Sipe videos online but would appreciate any support! I find GCA quite stressful...

So I joined IBM 5 months back, was on bench for this long and got project just a week back.

My PSP and People Manager have been kind of lenient, cooperative and kind to me because I was never told I will be put in PIP, I have to enter project not matching my skillset etc etc.

I have an offer that I was about to sign, but saw that priority dates for filing in EB2 are already at sep 2014 this April. Is there a way of bypassing the H1B lottery? I was told by an external recruiter that if I joined their London team, after a year I could go through H1B process without the lottery. My preference is to remain with Deloitte and transfer - can Deloitte put me through without the lottery? Are there stipulations such as minimum tenure or degree types etc?

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? For those of you who have been through this process, what was the overall timeline like?. Appreciate any insights you can help provide! TY!
