It would be somewhat expected if you serve the client space on multiple engagements.
Very. I would say 2/3rd of the total exits in my circle have been to clients. For a lot of my colleagues / friends, this is an active goal they work towards.
Very common. It’s a great way to find good talent without committing to an unknown since you already know the person.
Happened to me in the middle of a project
No I didn’t, it would have required relocating to an area I didn’t want to and I knew the comp wasn’t gonna be high enough to make it compelling…one of my MD was fine with me leaving as i would have stayed on our project, the other MD who was in my practice was annoyes
