How did you cope with the magnitude of your student loans? I feel like so much of what I'm making is just going right back into it, and it's just such a source of stress that I wasn't prepared for.

Have you considered working for an edu (teaching hospital) or a .org (non profit hospital)? Obviously, you will draw a salary - maybe not a Beverly Hills private practice salary lol. It doesn't have to be the extent of your career, so after a period you can apply for and receive forgiveness for the remainder of your loan(s)? Generally, less than 10 years- maybe aroun 5ish. You may want to google.

You can also look into working in a “deemed” physician shortage area or rural scholar area and typically it’s a 5 year work in exchange for payoff of your loans.

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? Or… should I take a small loan?

Is it better to have SFH for monthly cash flow or passive MF deals through a private syndicate? Friend told me that you need to have $1.5m invested in MF to generate 60k a year approx but it’s much better than dealing with tenants and maintenance. Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?
