How do people feel about being asked to include a LinkedIn profile on almost every job application? Personally, it’s been pretty frustrating. I’ve tried to step back from a lot of the big platforms, and LinkedIn feels like one you’re basically forced to keep just to stay “visible.” Half the time it doesn’t even seem that useful for evaluating candidates, and the content on there can feel pretty surface-level. I’m not sure it actually adds much value. Curious how others see it.

To what degree do you share your mental health issues with your team? I went through a period of depression and recently got comments back that I need to fix my attitude. Is it worth mentioning now?

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Should I ask for more equity or is that standard? They’re public (currently ~$20)should I get the hybrid option in writing?

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
