I don’t F with recruiters. I completely ignore them when they message me. If I am interested in a company I will reach out directly to their internal recruiters.

You sound like a recruiter pretending to be a SM. If so, just ask what you’d need to say to convince a high performer with a good career path, to take a pay cut along with an uncertain future.
If you are a SM then there should be a meaningful equity component and substantial bonus to compensate for the pay cut. Definitely you want a big signing bonus and maybe a severance arrangement too. It’s very possible they are looking for a sucker.
How do you even go about negotiating a severance before even starting with them? The biggest issue for me is they are promising ‘growth potential’ and such but that has nothing to do with there here and now. And nothing is even guaranteed to me in the future
Tell them to offer you partnership or buzz off.

I mean not all recruiters are bad but many will not treat you correctly and deceive you slightly. You need to do your own research on the company at the end.
I don’t reply to recruiters with horrible asks. Problem solved.
