30-minute HIIT classes at your nearest gym at lunchtime. Smelling at your desk for the rest of the afternoon is totally worth it.
When my son was that age I did a lot of Jillian Michaels, Shaun T, and other workout videos, and used the Nike Training Club app either before/after work when my husband was around to help or during nap time on weekends. It just wasn’t possible to physically get to the gym, so rolling out of bed and doing a 30-minute workout right there was the best option. Now I have a Peloton bike and it’s been life-changing. At first I was choking at the cost but if you do the monthly payments it’s less than what my husband and I were paying for our gym memberships and the convenience factor is 💯
Benderfitness.com. At home. Free. Awesome
I wake up at 4:45 and do it before everyone else wakes up.
I’ve started scheduling into my workday now I’m not pumping. Not gonna lie, i work at a very intense place so it’s only possible once, maybe twice per week but it makes a huge difference to my productivity and outlook.
Run home from work! Also the bodylove app is 💯
I go for a quick run most mornings during breakfast while my husband handles things. Then I cram in as many exercises as I can at home: some combo of squats, lunges, free weights, pull ups, push ups, core work. So far it’s working but as soon as it gets cold I’m gonna have to hit the gym more. It’s also helping with my stress levels. I always feel better when I’m exercising. Good luck!
Same! My little one is 7 months and I still haven't figured out when to work out. Someone share your wisdom!
I schedule it just like I would a meeting in the office. My gym has child care so I leave with time to get him, go to the gym then answer a couple emails after he's in bed.
It’s so tough! Weekend mornings work for me. Or could you work out on your lunch break? It gets easier when you stop pumping, if you are
Kayla Itsines app is life changing.
@Director 1 yes, definitely worth it for me. I got it at the end of last year and have done around 150 classes so far, never repeating a class.
I need to work out a lot to keep my brain functioning, pains at bay and to stay awake. I speed walk/jog during commute to/from work. Take 45-60min at lunch time for the gym, then eat lunch while I work. I work while pumping. I focus on stretching and go for a walk after kids are in bed. This way I get the strength, cardio and tissue/stretching in almost every day.
Needless to say, there is no time for haircuts or friends, but exercise is more essential to me.
Get a stepper or something at home just to get a little exercise in
I did the short on demand workouts at home a few days a week, then joined citibike.
VP1... dying to get a Peleton. You def think it’s worth it?
I was at the gym at 630a. my husband takes care of the daycare drop off and I do pick up so it works
