I don’t have any friends at either company so I was curious if anyone has experience and can shed some light on culture/ work life balance to help me make a decision? Thanks for the help guys!

I usually try to understand what specifically they need to think about. I have found "I need to think about it" often means something else is still unresolved.
A customer’s first no is always a lie - there’s the reason they’re saying no and then there’s the real reason.
First off - don’t immediately resort to scare or urgency tactics like “if you don’t act now you’ll lose this rate” that will lose any trust you’ve built.
Empathize and normalize - “that makes sense, a lot of my customers feel that way” this will prevent them from being alienated knowing other people have the same hesitation - your job now is to peel back the onion layers and get to the real reason they’re saying no. Something like “what I’ve found is that when most of my customers feel this way it’s because they want to make sure the numbers make sense, are uncertain if the system will really benefit them or they’re not sure of the timing, which one is closest for you?”
If it’s about another decision maker you can respond with “absolutely, that makes sense. Which part do you think they’ll have the most questions about?” “Would it be helpful if I walk you both through it later so you don’t have to commit it to memory?” Then own the follow up.
If they’re want to do more research a line like “sure, that’s smart - most of my customers want to do more research on cost savings, system performance or warranty concerns, which one matters most to you?” This allows you to guide what they research rather than dive down the google rabbit hole.
Also - “if everything looks good after your research/discussion with spouse is this something you would want to move forward with” if it’s a yes then you could use the “let’s lock in today’s quote so nothing changes while you review it”
