A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

I typically go to the persons LinkedIn profile and make sure it is a well established account with connections and the account is filled out. If the account is only a few weeks or months old it is unlikely to be a verified account/recruiter .
If they lead off with “hey there’s a great opportunity, send me your resume”, that’s an immediate no.
It's easy to tell the recruiters who read my resume and profile from the ones that didn’t. Some the offers are a mismatch with my profile. I will also respond if the recruiter puts some effort into writing the message. I don't respond to those who do nothing more than copy paste generic things, sometimes even getting the name wrong.
Most of those types of messages I get are just so far off that I can zap them immediately. It's as if I was picked at random. It's almost funny how they'll use a template and say because of my position I'm a good fit for something that just has nothing to do with anything I've ever done. If it's something that actually makes sense I may write back, but even then I'm usually skeptical.
