How do you know when it’s time for a change? ie new firm.
I’ve been with bah for about 10 years and have enjoyed things more than not. But the last year has been a challenge. Not finding the things I enjoy as enjoyable. Haven’t been as successful with BD (that’s mostly been out of my hands) and I absolutely hate the current project I’m on. Went from an engagement manager for about 2 years to a SME. Problem is the scope I am needed for was cut through negotiations.

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

Recently joined a project that’s been in flight for long time. He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match.
