How do you stay focused in back to back meetings? I tend to zone out and just literally stop paying attention because there’s im on so many calls, but in the background and not presenting/contributing

I have to literally take notes about the meeting the whole time by hand. It helps occupy part of my brain and limit distraction. It does require concerted effort. If it’s an all hands call, that is harder.

Helps to pretend to be physically present / turn on video/ pretend you’re making eye contact with the person and actually in a conversation. As soon as I think it doesn’t matter since I’m hiding behind the zoom, I start to stop listening (if I’m not presenting). Smile on cue, nod, etc - weird but helps me.

If remote meeting, start transcript/ subtitles and read. Helps me fix my attention on something tangible (and this something is exactly what it should be: the ongoing conversation)

Good for you that this happens only after many calls. It’s happening to me from the first call of the day lol

Desi folks - question on travelling outside US while you're on L1B visa. I have my valid visa stamp till 2022. Do any of you know if we can travel to India in Dec and come back in Jan? Or is it affected by the Trump executive order that was passed in Jun that said non-immigrant workers can't enter the country till Dec 31? Just wondering if I leave for holidays, will I not be allowed back. Any sort of clarification you might have is helpful. FYI - I was in US before that June ruling came out. Thx

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

Also, I know I’m a stim junkie I was taking adderall for 20 years so my tolerance is pretty high. Please keep it positive and helpful thanks
