I hated it and thought it was trying too hard to pat itself on the back and look cool, but I'm a millennial on the older cusp. 🤷🏻♂️
100% what I thought. When they say “but an ad with no logo?! That’s another level” feels like they are too afraid of going unnoticed
I think it’s a good idea and Doritos is a brand which could pull it off, but this :60 goes way overboard explaining itself and calling its own action “next level” hurts me. But I bet it was a very clean idea initially and nervous clients put language similar to the presentation write-up into the script. You could cut this down to a :30 keeping the right bits it would be 🔥.
Agree with you there. feels overdone but it could be good if executed properly.
Don't like it
I guess my question is, why?
And some from an over priced research firm told them that. There is proof that they like brands. Um...Sneaker culture.. that more and more wear designer labels like Gucci (real or fake)...that they subscribe to brands that offer healthy options not crap food anymore. Has nothing to do with logos has to do with their product.
Gimmicky geegaw.
I saw these milks a couple of months ago in a supermarket in Uruguay, and I found it groundbreaking that they weren’t using a logo. I even took this picture. But I grabbed a pack and the logo was in the back, actually. What really happened was that the stockboy put them facing back because if not, for the bad pack design, they would fall down :P
Who did it btw?
Gsp
I just think the brand trying to make sense of the Generations of BS with BS Ad if this is what works today well fair enough! David Ogilvy would be instant expression WTF
Hahaha totally
It’s how a brand or agency tries to cash in on millions spent over many decades.
Feels like something Coke did years back. The bottles were designed so that, even if they shattered, every piece would be identifiably Coke.
But maybe I’m just talking about all good branding and they’re are too.
Say what?
Interesting said the Art Director.
cool

Yeah some similarities, but at its core pretty different. This McDonald’s work is surprisingly spelling it out even more than the Doritos work. Feels like they conflated two ideas. This thing about coke tasting better there, and then having no logo. But the result is a red sweep with a nearly clear yellow logo and her literally spelling out what you need to google to “find out”. Personally, I’ll take the Doritos spot.
Just saw it.., I’m wondering more as to who cut it, not sure if they’re using the right VO person. Will new generations get it??!
Is it all about what’s in the bag and not the bag?
Overall, I would like to have that in my reel
They must have spent a lot of money on a DBA study before they made this ad.
That no gimmicks campaign was no joke.
