So- we run Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) for our clients display ads in a feed and corresponding google sheet via Google DoubleClick. My q is- does anyone know what systems out there allow for creating a template that will automatically pull a product image from say Target.com and automatically building the ad & copy without manually making 1000 ads via row for row in the google sheet? I know this is possible but curious if Sizmek or Flashtalking are more common in this type of creative development.

I work with quite a few people who transferred from tax into deals so it’s definitely possible. Everyone saying no doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
Yeah... no
I had a coworker that moved from tax to consulting. As stated above, he went and earned a solid MBA. He loves it though.
It's possible, but 1) you need a connection so, use internal events to create an opportunity to introduce yourself to a few people/speaker(s). 2) You're not timing the market correctly. The deal space is really struggling right now, and some firms are having trouble keeping their current roster billable, let alone adding more people to the bench. I'd say use the time now to build connections, and advocate for yourself and your desire to switch and see if they'll extend a branch when times get better. Otherwise, may need to try a smaller shop and then after a couple years experience can try for Big 4. Otherwise, your best bet is to a get an MBA (from a school known to be targeted by Big 4). Good luck.
Not impossible, but you probably need a connection to get in and it will probably get harder to do so as you progress unless you reset with a solid MBA. It seems to be a harder market for most areas in consulting right now, so they’re not going to give chances to a lot of non-traditional (eg, tax) candidates right now.
I say this too as someone who has thought about this myself. The “scarlet letter” of tax is a real thing.
How about tax consulting?
I’d look for postings on your internal careers site and apply there. If you can, talk to people in your office or on your projects if you ever get involved with one those teams. It’s not that uncommon to move from general tax to one of the consulting groups. I’d say you may have to wait until you’re a senior though; it’s harder to transfer as an associate since there’s typically less demand.
