Anyone who has recently resigned from ibm? When you initiare a separation process from workday, it goes to manager for approval. I asked HR and there is a due date mentioned on that process. Does that mean that if manager does not approve before the due date, my resignation is declined? What is the impact and what is meant by that due date? IBM

How long were you a junior?
Alas, I don't qualify.

This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

Weird, I've never been told anything about Carat at all.
I can't speak for ACD 1, but I was being facetious. Nothing I said was at all true. FCB 1's experience is the norm.
The bigger issue I’ve had at IPG is everyone is too busy to do your annual reviews.
Pretty awesome. They generally give you about 10% more than you ask for, and annual bonuses are usually pretty generous.
Well shit, now I actually feel bad.
In my group anyway, we've got more work than we have people for. That's generally not a sign of a sinking ship. It is, however, tiring.
It's got almost nothing to do with IPG and everything to do with the individual agency. SAD 1 is probably at an agency with a particularly generous salary/bonus program. Not all IPG firms even offer bonuses, so that's the first financial difference to look for.
I haven't talked with my peeps in FCB Health in a month or so, but last I heard they were doing well and had pulled-in a couple new pieces of business.
They’ve been good to me. I’m always prepared to have the salary increase conversation but at FCB I’ve found myself being offered exactly what I planned to ask for multiple times already. If you’re not getting what you want, though, you have to ask.
Once every year, if not twice, and decent to good amount in my experience.
Wut ... I got nada
You must really suck. Kidding... it is different at every agency.
I’ve been told fcb is a sinking ship?
Is this the same for FCB health? ^^^
ACD 1 may be at an agency handing out bonuses and raises like candy. SAD 1 has not had that experience, and his initial post was a joke. I've received small raises every other year or so (unless promoted), and a couple very small bonuses.
Good to hear ^ thanks!!!
So I've worked for 2 Omnicom agencies and three IPG agencies. In my experience, IPG seems to be better about raises. Only got raises at Omnicom when I told them I was leaving, IPG shops gave them to me every 1-2 years without asking. Could've been a coincidence I suppose, but the success of the shop did not seem to correlate with the generosity of the raises.
