Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

Hello Fishes - I have worked in Intel Corporation for a year but not as direct employee. It was my client location. My direct payroll was LNT Services. How can I take benefit of Intel Corporation as I was NOT a direct employee there. Can I mention in my resume. If yes, how and what to mention in my resume?

Asking for a friend?
I was on for 6 months and got a 7% raise
I know people in our form who have been on bench for more than 3+ months. Usually they let go low performers go first. You need to make sure that you are involved in BD or MD&I even if it is slow this season. If you have PTO days now it’s the best time to take them so it won’t affect your overall chargebility. Also as mentioned above, polish your resume and start looking just in case...
You are gucci
Depends on a lot of things. I've been on the bench for two 3+ month stints.
Oooooo first time seeing this firm. But OP, it's holiday season, you're probably fine. And if you aren't fine, well, there's nothing you can do but update that resume.
Friend of mine lasted 6 months. He was doing certs and trainings like crazy, but it is what it is
I was on the bench for nearly three months when I first joined over the holiday. I was so nervous about it, but it worked out.
Benched for 12+ weeks consecutively and got a promotion and raise. Really depends.
SA, been doing BD, these holiday months just seem to be difficult. May have stuff lined up beginning of January but don't know if that's too long/far away.
First was when I joined, so plenty of leeway, and second was in beginning part of the year (so quiet) and was probably a week away from being let go when I finally got staffed.
I’ve never heard of anyone making it more than 3 weeks. Lot depends on how expensive you are and the way you made it there. I know people who rolled off projects by their own accord to the bench, laid off after 2 weeks
I know several who've been benched up to six weeks with no issues, but that doesn't happen in a vacuum. Performance and the story behind "why" are very important.
A4 what was your situation(s), if you don't mind sharing?
I was on bench 3 months when I first joined. Though I came from school and was already close to year end so it didn’t affect chargeability
Do not worry, continue reaching out to your TFS to let him/her know you're doing as much as you can do
Lasted 4 months on the bench then got picked up for a project
I roll off friday and got 3 projects lined up Monday. They are out there OP just need to network. I am a SA who was promoted to Consultant fyi.
I'm looking at the tail end of 2 months and my CC isn't too worried yet, especially bc my TFS hid me w/o a charge code for 3 weeks
