I think people do it in 6-8 depending on performance
Partner. Assc partner is 4-6
BCG is much more bureaucratic with this - 2 as an analyst, 2 as a post mba analyst (no mba needed for undergrad hires), 2 as a manager, 2 as a senior manager, 2 as a junior partner. I think some places can be 18 months but basically 9 years minimum to make mdp, and if you graduate at the typical 22 the youngest would be 31.
Principal is functionally sm. Partner is functionally junior partner
I would not be ready
Is this associate partner or real partner?
McKinsey 7. BCG is a little bit longer - let’s say 9-10.
Deloitte - 13 is the best you can hope for. It’s not really up or out.
6-8 years
I’ve seen tons do it in 6!
So they get to partner by age 27-28?
Associate partner. 23 years old
And you've since transcended to Deloitte, amazing.
Hmm, I joined the wrong firm. You guys hiring for PE diligence work?
