I need some advice. I have had two interviews with a company for a financial analyst role. It’s a private company with one owner. SaaS. The owner mentioned they’d been the subject of theft in both interviews, which I thought was very weird. At this point, I’m assuming they’ve gotten whatever internal control issues fixed, but I haven’t outright asked the question. The accounting team is 3 people including an outsourced CFO. I understand that one would be cautious about hiring if they’ve…

Hi everyone, just starting to explore Fish Bowls.
Need a gut check- I’m currently looking for a job the is WFH versus hybrid that has a base salary around $80k. I have a Bachelors in Science in Organizational Administration, and my current role is an Operations Manager with 3+ years in e-commerce space. (Transitioned from another industry managing over 130 employees) I also have experience with developing core company procedures and talent management.
Is this realistic? And if so, anyone hiring?

Additional Posts in Sales

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Everything used to pay $350k on target earnings. Tech is booming but I am noticing pay has dropped substantially despite inflation. I am seeing $300k ote and most roles are set up to not hit plan. My company just said no overnight stays unless 150 miles or more and we can’t go over 149 per night. The boss said it came down from corporate but no one on the sales team got a corporate email. It seems like this is just a instruction from our immediate boss and people with big territories are upset because this new policy makes it more challenging to cover ground in certain areas of your territory. Is this a gold standard? Are all companies cutting back right now on sales team expenses?
