How many weekends do you work in a month?

So I made this bowl awhile ago and I honestly haven’t been on the app in a minute and I’m so happy to see so many people utilizing this!!! I hope you all take time for yourselves and know that you do incredible work every day that is so under-appreciated. On a side note going along with under-appreciated and underpaid: does anyone have suggestions for a side hustle? I need to make more money and I work from home full-time so time commitment isn’t an issue. Thanks I’m advance!

I am in a bit of a good/bad spot. I have worked at Salesforce for close to a year as a consultant. They want to bring back travel to 50%+ post Covid and I am not feeling that motivated to be away from my family that often. I have an opportunity to join a startup as a Sr. PM likely making the same or a tiny bit less. But no travel and not consulting. All internal project. I don’t know what else I should be looking at. I am asking here cause you guys are all smarter than my childhood friends…

2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

Looking for a general consensus - which firm offers the best compensation & WLB? For info, 4 years experience, mostly technology /mgmt consulting within public sector and starting to think about next move.

Do partners at top consulting firms have better WLB?
An Associate here contemplating whether all this is worth it.

I’m at a mid size transactional firm. I’m a total night owl and my partners have OK’d me starting the workday at around 11am because I regularly work until midnight or later. I get so much more done after dark! I still get some side eye from other associates, but 🤷🏽‍♀️
