I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Your HR lead will have comp models and ranges. They likely have a "pricing" group that will do analysis for you. BUT they aren't experts in your field. Often they mess up on similar but different groups with widely varying ranges. Data Scientst and Data Engineer is an example.
With people asking for play that’s close to mine 🙈 lol. I’m not sure how much distance in pay between mine and my direct reports. Like say I may 200k base. What should be the cap for my direct reports?
Well, the HR team is sending me resumes of ppl they have screened who are about 50k lower than me in base and I’m wondering if that’s an indication that I’m low on the salary scale for my role? Is there something I’m missing
Well, maybe not representative example but when I was at a startup I had people making 5k less than me reporting to me. I didn’t really care because they were more experienced in some cases and deserved it (and more as did I but thats another story). I was happy to have them as it was better for the company and evened out in the end (we all got increases commensurate with role). Also some (most) people are lying about their salaries and will take way less than they say they are making 🙄.
