I’ve never had to turn one down, because I make sure to find out the salary before going through the Interview process. Huge time saver for both parties.

this. the salary shouldn’t be a surprise at the offer stage. [granted if you give them a number and they’re not even close, that’s different]

I had one agency that low balled me twice years apart. After that, I’ll only take a first interview if I know their salary range upfront.
Yup. Ain’t nobody got time for someone who doesn’t pay you what you’re worth.
Once, bc the offer was lower than what we had discussed at the outset.
Just three weeks ago
Twice. I was ok with it, because my gut was sending me red flags during the interviews. Both jobs came back giving me what I asked for. I accepted each time.
Both rank as the worst jobs I ever had.
You’d think I learned my lesson the first time. The way they handle salaries may indicate how they treat people. I learned not to base decisions solely on the offer. You may be dodging a bullet.
Move forward and don’t second- guess yourself.
