Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

What makes you think any consulting firm is secure during a recession? If security is your thing, work for the government or the government side.
Deloittes the absolute worst during recessions. Not sure about EY.
Small software companies with a good client base are usually pretty good. In my companies 30 year history they’ve never had layoffs.

EY didn’t lay people off during Covid for what it’s worth

EY did. They just called all of them “performance-based,” which wasn’t quite true.
EY is certainly better than Deloitte and Accenture when it comes to layoffs.
