Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

I have a small firm - a junior paralegal and 2 VAs - which has a lot of reoccurring/volume corporate referrals. One such client is ~40-50% of my gross rev. I have other lit work which I could also scale up over time. Operating virtually.
How you approach it will depend on your goals. Do you want to eventually build and manage something bigger or do you want to keep it small/solo but increase revenue. Hiring isn’t the only way to scale. Technology and/or the use of contractors can increase revenue without the risk of a full time salary (and the added admin/management work for you). If adding people is the way to go for you, be sure you have enough cash or credit for at least three months salary plus on-boarding costs as new hires always take a bit to become profitable.
I admittedly rely on flat rate coverage counsel for a fair portion of matters that require a warm body at a hearing, unopposed type cases. My golden goose seems to be in volume, which coverage helps address, but I also have a decent hourly lit practice which is hard to grow with the volume demands I’m handling.
The revenue is definitely there to grow and expand, but the idea of virtually onboarding and supervising an attorney is hard to untangle, since it feels like are new administrative items (like more complex IT / document storage matters) that I haven’t had to address yet.
