May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

I was supposed to have my second interview at Raytheon Technologies Corporation. I got an email three min before saying that they had a surprise fire drill and they had to evacuate the building and they needed to reschedule for next week. Do I need to to wait for them to reach back out or can touch base with them tomorrow? I don’t want to be obnoxious. 😅

Headquarters are in Chicago and a significant part of our workforce is based out of that office, although we are as a company pretty spread out. Recommend Chicago to meet people in the office as a starting/landing point and then decide where you want to go from there
Thank you for your reply. That sounds like a pretty good plan. I'll have to take a look at Chicago, I know absolutely nothing about the city.
NYC is probably your best bet if you’re looking for anything with any resemblance of life in the UK. NYC offices in consulting tend to be a good bit more active and engaging vs in other cities.
Boston certainly has its appeal
Boston certainly has its appeal. Many Unis and world class hospitals bring large college and graduate age population. It also means healthy competition for jobs. Its a pedestrian friendly city. Also very expensive.
Definitely Chicago! Tons of young people here, and its a mini-NYC for half the cost.
I love to visit NYC. But Chicago is a much better city to live in - in addition to being much cheaper.
I live in Chicago and love it, but would suggest NYC coming from the UK. Great place to start, and will meet people from all over!
Good luck!
