I always feel for my patients who have to spend the holidays in the hospital. Especially the ones who don't really have anyone coming to visit them. Do any of you do anything special for your patients around Christmas?

Are you working with the elderly like I am? Because yes, it's definitely a bummer seeing people without visitors around this time of year. I try to spend as much time as I can with them and attend the little events our facility has for Christmas and Hannuka to chat with them.

Same here. And there's only so much we can do.

I am a 38 yo woman, always been very active (I run 20 miles/week), normal BMI, and eat healthy. I just had a routine blood test and while my HDL is 70 and triglycerides 53 (both good), my LDL is suddenly 132 (normal is up to 130). Any tips on what to do? I don’t have heart disease anywhere in my family. Only think I can think is ever since covid started I eat chocolate every night. Could that alone cause this?? Any help appreciated.

Does anyone have experience with non-stimulant medication? I’ve had bad anxiety from Adderall in the past and I don’t know what to ask for when I see my doc.

Just saw an ad for Kesimpta for MS and gotta say, one the most predicting fair balance lines I’ve ever heard. “While no cases of PML were reported in RMS clinical trials, it could happen.” Wow. Massive government overreach. Clinical trials are now irrelevant when it comes to any class effect. And yes I’ve been doing this DTC thing since it all started.

For those who work 100% remote with their company, what health insurance provider does your company offer? (ie. UHC, Aetna, BCBS, etc)

I was in a very bad shape last year (major anxiety episodes, OCD flares, panic attacks) and now I'm MUCH better. I feel like one thing that helped through it was for the first time in my life opening myself to experience my spiritual side (not talking religion here).

I feel like now that i feel better overall, I'm disregarding that part of me but wishing i still had that drive to feed my spiritual self. Any ideas on how to bring it back to my life in a way that doesn't really feel forced?

Thank you for starting this bowl! I just turned 50. I had my one and only child at 41 and went straight into menopause. My symptoms were perhaps confused with postbpatrum and nursing hormone symptoms but bow my hair is dry and frizzy yet somehow also oily and my skin lacks luster and I gain weight so easily. Working from home for eight months has definitely hanged my body shape and not for the better!

Any one or a few back exercises or machines/tools that are a back blaster that might be a fun or effective way to ramp up my non existent back workout game?

Definitely spent more money in the past year with therapy costs, new medications and small ad hoc things. This was the first time I’ve had an FSA vs HSA and I definitely underestimated what to put into it. Generally I’m a healthy individual in my mid 30s but you know getting older. Any advice on how I can better gauge this?

Do I need a new H1B Stamping? I extended my visa last year (new expiration date: 2024 Summer) and got my visa stamped accordingly. Since then, I changed firms and transferred my visa, which now has a different expiration date (i.e 2024 Winter). I honestly don’t know why the date got longer with just a transfer. Anyway, would I need to get my visa stamped again since the date of current i797-A (winter 2024) is different from my previous i797-A/latest visa stamp?
