Yes you should go see one. With that kind of ego, you'll have a hard time as you move up. Being able to accept constructive feedback and admitting that you have opportunities to grow are so important

There are grammar errors. You aren’t perfect after all.
Maybe a biased view given I work at McK but I truly think that constructive, tactical feedback is one of the greatest gifts your colleagues can give you. They are taking time out of their schedule to reflect on your performance, convey that message to you, and invest in your development. No one is perfect. I am grateful when I receive feedback because someone is actively showing me a path to become better— and there is no reason why a perfectionist like yourself shouldn’t want that: getting one step closer to perfection.

I used to be, and to a large extent still am, like this. What happened with me was that I went through a cluster of a project, largely not my fault but I was the one that had to take the brunt of it. I just learned how to deal with it. In a way that experience helped me in my career more than any other.
Therapy is helpful. You probably place too much of your identity on being “perfect” and probably also a people pleaser. These often are behaviors develops during childhood. There will be times that you’ll have feedback that doesn’t involve you being perfect and will be telling you what you did wrong, etc. You should build more actual self confidence that feedback doesn’t derail you and instead helps you grow. I also think people who always did well in school have a hard time when you get to work. I once had an intern resign on the spot because she got some feedback on her work product that involved telling her to pay more attention to details. She said she never received negative feedback before so couldn’t be true!

Not sure how early you are in your career, but this takes practice. There’s always going to be mistakes/improvement points. You should embrace the imperfection and as we’re all human and not robots.
