I’m in between projects. I have been for a while now. So if anyone is looking for a freelance copy and u/x writer, put me in coach! I’m available to work.
Check out my portfolio and let me know if we’re a good profit match.

Go talk to the head of PM! Ask what they look for in talent, tell them you’re contemplating a future career change, and see what they have to say.
The easiest transition might be to Studio Manager, then over the PM'ing. Transferable skills through that route. Or if you've got some of those skills already you could try applying for Jr. PM roles. If not, you can take your PMP certification and once accredited, mid-PM roles could be available.

I agree Studio Manager you will already know how to check and release files as well as manage studio & production assets. From working with creatives and marketing most of my career. Full on pm role will be intense. Maybe ease in by being a junior. Also depends on salary. Many ppl don’t consider this when looking to pivot. Most salaries are based on experience in that field.
Do you have any management experience? I would make sure to emphasize that on your resume, maybe doing some freelance projects
look for any transferrable skills that you currently have and apply that to your resume when seeking these roles. Look for entry and then get certifications once you get your foot in the door
My dad’s advice: Start by calling yourself one and learn the skills along the way.
