If it were me I would apply to PRN/per diem positions - much easier to obtain than a full time gig - once a FT position opens up in the department - apply.
Thank you for your advice
Don’t. I’ve been a Pharmacist for 25 years and I’m actively trying to get out of this “sold out” profession. You are nothing but a license to these employers, not a human being. Retail is the height of abuse and other areas aren’t much better. Our starting pay has actually dropped below $100K because the profession is saturated from too many Pharmacy Schools.
I’ve been retail for the most part of 33 years. Between 1990-2000 the chains were offering $10,000-$15,000 sign on bonuses. I fell for 3 of these signing bonuses only to end up with the same company! There was a chronic shortage of pharmacists- period. Fast forward to about 2015 and a plethora of pharmacy “ colleges “ started popping up like weeds! These colleges in my humble opinion “ dumbed down “ the degree and started spitting out pharmacists like there was no tomorrow. They were clueless.
Not on LinkedIn and Indeed. Those sites are oversaturated with applicants. If you can find the posting on the company's site, apply there and use LinkedIn to message the recruiter about your interest in the role
How do you message the recruiter if you can’t see who posted the job? I’m on Premium but I still can’t see who the recruiter is.
I just wanted to say that this thread has been really helpful. Thank you for this.
I had good luck getting my foot in the door with travel/temp pharmacist agencies.
You need to hire someone to rewrite you resume as it is all scanned electronically now with ‘key word and phrases’ and will never pass HR to get into the right hands unless it passes that step first. Your awesome resume writing from 11 years ago will not pass this new process.
The college, where you graduated from in pharmacy school should be able to help you. They have a job center and they can help locate a job for you as well.
