I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.

I’ve heard it’s difficult to get into Private Equity after earning an MBA, is this true? If I work as an MBB consultant for a few years on primarily PE casework after getting an MBA, what would my exit opportunities look like if PE is not an option? Would all my work with PE cases just be wasted?

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Just saw that Airbnb's salary range for a 2+ years experience Data Scientist in US is 129k -180k USD.
In INR its 95L- 1.4cr. But in India do they pay even 30L to 4 years yoe?
Last year I saw such salary range for 4+ yoe in US. But in India its yet to increase.

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...
