Good ranked part time MBA is an oxymoron. Full time is prestigious. Part time is open admissions even from M7. You did the degree wrong

like

Not sure if this is the same SC as before that always rants on PT programs but they have to gate keep MBAs to justify the value of their degree

Sounds like darden. Place does kinda blow (completely unnecessarily btw) , avoid if you can.

Mm Darden has been on and off my list for the past few months for some of the reasons you state here. 😬 Do you mind explaining your thoughts? I'm also happy to DM. 😊

Average is 32 and you have a “bunch of kids” around. Something doesn’t add up. How old are you?

These are all things people talk about regardless of their age. It’s not gonna be any different at EMBA except more references to spouse, kids and commutes lol

I was at a top 10 program, average age was 29 and I do not remember anyone who had this attitude!

Currently a student at top MBA and this is totally me minus the sports talk 🤣

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

Hey everyone! I’m struggling to decide whether I should pursue a full time MBA or a Part Time MBA. Truly, what scares me about a full time one is the fact that I won’t work for two years. I know it’s a big investment and I’ll be rewarded for ir later on, but the thought of it still scares me. I would love to get someone’s thoughts on this! Is the experience very different? Will I be exhausted if I do the part time? Is there something I’m not considering when it comes to the Full Time?

Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.
