I am a professional MBA student in a top racked program , average age 32. And among my peers most of the coffee chat is complain about how heavy the course are. How suck the professor is. How busy work is. Or talking about sport! It's so annoying to he around bunch of kids. Go EMBA if u can.

I recently graduated with a bachelors in finance, and have recently got hired (5 months ago) as a financial analyst. Realistically I do FP&A for a company. Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.

Is it expected that people who exit from MBB/Deloitte at post mba levels (PL/EM/M) take paycuts when going to industry? (non FAANG, PE). I'm In process at multiple internal consulting/strategy groups who say the paycut is part of the trade-off for less hours/no travel.

But as a female🐠, I can't discern whether this is just a negotiation tactic. Mentors have told me never take less pay.

For reference, this is at a comparable industry equivalent level (not clear up/down)

Im a new analyst 1 and I got slammed today because I uploaded a document that wasn’t supposed to be uploaded to the VDR despite the fact that two associates signed off on the VDR. Am I in the wrong here for not getting the VDR right? I’m feeling down because of this but not sure if I’m being hard on myself or if the criticism is warranted.

It's almost as if people don't want to be in offices anymore so that's why it's difficult for them to fill those roles.
Sidenote: recruiters, you can see on my LI profile that I'm remote. In the "What jobs are you interested in" field you can see I'm only interested in remote roles.
