Currently at BNY Mellon with 10 YOE, specifically in Corporate Trust working CLO/CDO’s (first job out of college). I’ve moved around within the bank a few times but I’m just not happy here nor am I where I want to be in terms of comp . I want to pivot into something else but I have no clue what skills I could transfer elsewhere as what we do is so niche. I'm a computer science engineer, working in the Pharmaceutical RWE domain for 2 years.
Even though I like the impact that my job creates, I often find myself wondering if I can actually get to a high position (e.g. CEO, Director of DS dept.) for a pharmaceutical company being from a technical background.

Frankly, EY path to partner seems to be too clouded (long pipeline, no clear direction/path, uncertainty on promotion cycles, etc.) at the moment and I would like to visit all options. What are the odds of getting into Big Law after being an associate at a boutique in a small market? How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.
