Hey OP, lets see how many people hop on this thread. I'd be down to host a remote 2 hour design thinking session/design sprint where we can all brainstorm using miro. I think the video limit is 25 participants on miro so we can do up to that

I love it! Let’s coordinate something.

Would it provides products or services? Or some combination of the two?

Unsure. Still noodling in the topic. Given the current situation, home offices or any sort of dedicated space for work will probably be near the top of the list for “must have” when buying a house or renting an apt.

So why not streamline filling it it out company gear, or a basic/medium/high tier of supplies. A curated store where a firm or company gives each new hire credits to spend to outfit what they need. Everything from company branded pens and letter heads to monitors and keyboards.

I don’t know, maybe something like this exists but I thinking bringing the office into the home, in a seamless and awesome way, has huge potential.

OP where are you based

DC

Will this involve physical goods and services or be totally virtual?

Which companies in Canada are giving remote opportunities in the insurance industry?

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?

He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Can anyone please kindly help?

I've been applying to tech companies for executive assistant positions - in particular, remote work positions - and I have yet to get a nibble.

I'm extremely tech savvy and have a lot of initiative but I am afraid that these companies are put off by how long I've been working assuming that I am a middle-aged woman that is not able to go with the flow.

Hi I have asked to be an advisor for a startup. Its in its very early stage pre pre-seed. Its looking like weekly strategy calls and possibly some executional work as well. Like building out a sales process and/or training sales and marketing team members (this might be 1-3hr a week of work).

They are offering 1.5-3.5%. — I am wondering if that’s enough.

In addition to this the founder mentioned that he would like me to consider becoming a co-founder.

I’ve joined an early-stage startup as one of the first 3 employees (excluding the 2 founders) pretty much right out of college with ~2y of internship experience and I also worked on my own startup for a year. The founders were very senior product and eng leaders in FAANG so the founding team is considered strong. Company has a product but nearly 0 revenue. They’ve offered me sweat equity of 1%, no salary for the unforeseeable future, and no co-founder title. Is this appropriate comp?
