I have an offer with Citi, initially it was hybrid model and looks like they are moving back to wfo.. they told only now and I dont have any other offer in hand. due to personal constraints I need wfh or some flexibility types, but they seem a bit rigid as its not in their policy..

Which companies in Canada are giving remote opportunities in the insurance industry?

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. I’ve joined an early-stage startup as one of the first 3 employees (excluding the 2 founders) pretty much right out of college with ~2y of internship experience and I also worked on my own startup for a year. The founders were very senior product and eng leaders in FAANG so the founding team is considered strong. Company has a product but nearly 0 revenue. They’ve offered me sweat equity of 1%, no salary for the unforeseeable future, and no co-founder title. Is this appropriate comp?

From reading a number of books and listening to a number of podcasts about starting a business, one underlying factor they all share is to have deep passion for what you do. How do you know what your passion is? I mean I think a lot about golf but i don’t think that’s a passion. It’s my hobby. I think most people just know.
