Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. Anyone know of an alternative to StackOverflow for asking tech questions? The community is super toxic and I'm looking for a place I can casually ask questions that might seem dumb without being hrangued for not providing an essay proof of the research I've already done. Or some sort of buddy system where I can ping a person of relevant experience those questions.
