I was on a partner/manager call today and they were discussing the “high” turnover at the senior and experienced associate level. What was shocking is that while ours is about double normal, evidently we are 3 out of 4 in turnover meaning 2 of the Big 4 are even higher.

Hey everyone, I am looking for advice. I am currently an associate at a big 4 firm doing IT Consulting with some IT audit sprinkled in. My end goal one day is to break into strategy. I have an offer to switch big 4 firms and move into FDD. Would this be a wise switch? Will I need an MBA regardless? I went to a large state school for undergrad. Need some advice here. Received an offer that comes with $20k stock option (given annually, no vesting). Was told to consider exit multiple of 5x, and value this comp as $20k x 5 = $100k. Assume no strike price:
Y1: $20k = $10 x 2000 stocks
Y2: $20k = $25 x 800 stocks
Y3: $20k = $50 x 400 stocks

This doesn't make sense right? Assume the startup reaches 5x in 3 years, only the first batch of stocks gains 5x multiple, while the Y2 only gains 2x, Y3 is 1x? The blended calculated is only 2.67x
