I have a current CTC of 6.6 and Mastercard is offering 8.9 (including variable ) . I also have an offer from infosys of 10 ( including variable). I think you need to look at why is the team stretched. Sometimes it truly is due to being under staffed but often it can be due to employees who don’t handle change well and are not working as effectively or efficiently as they could be because they are unwilling to try new ways of doing work. In dealing with something similar now. The metrics show the task quantity is decreasing but the employees are feeling overworked.
I get your point, but I think it can be risky to assume it is mainly resistance. On a ward, staffing gaps are real and immediate. If metrics drop, I would question workload and capacity first, not just behaviour.
